Firsts

I did a lot of firsts the past few days. The kind of "firsts" that is extraordinary and I will treasure in this lifetime. All for the books! Petrifying but enlivening at the same time.
·  I tried surfing (that involves the sea and the waves. Ha.). I failed once on my first attempt to stand on the longboard but I was able to stand many times after that fall. Walked out from that experience uttering the word STOKED.
·  I visited the BENCAB museum in Benguet Mountain Province. Very inspiring place, cried inside (joy and excitement) while staring at the artworks.
·  I made lots of graphic designs (I managed the contents ONLY before) for our weeklong anniversary event at the office (presented to our bosses and partner companies). The event was very successful.

It’s really empowering knowing that YOU CAN DO what you believed you COULD NOT. Learning something new, going to some place new and experiencing all things NEW are always, always, always INTIMIDATING (at first) but FULFILLING afterwards.
(some photos I shared in SOCMED the past weeks - @rizalenio on instagram. I'm active here too - rizalenio.tumblr.com).

...and to all my friends who greeted me on my birthday this month, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  8. Beautiful captures and images and I love what you say about how new things are always intimidating at first but fulfilling afterwords. We CAN do many things we believe we can't. It's often just about making the first step. Easier said than done, of course. :)

  15. Those are such great firsts Rizalenio! Don't tell anyone but I have a crush on the surfer in the yellow shorts hihi :)

Surfing is great, if only the nearest surfing spot isn't hours away from where we live no? So we can get "Stoked!" whenever we want to :)

I know you get this a lot, but i need to say this - you always take the nicest pictures. I could just print them, frame them and it'll make even the barest wall - lovely :)

Have more great firsts to come! :)

    1. Maraming salamat, Zai. The surfer in yellow is a junior division champion from the last surfing competition. Galing 'no? Kaya ok na ok syang subject kasi the best mga styles nya kapag sumasalubong sa alon. :)

Thanks a lot again for the kind words. I love your HHK posts!!!

  20. Is that you in the photos? Awesome. I live far from the sea and even if we had surfing here, I guess I'm too old for it...plus I do not have the shape and size. Muahahahahaha!!!

    P.S. Nice blog, nice snapshots.
